The Ministry of Food Processing Industries promotes food processing in India. It aims to offer an adequate quantity of quality products to consumers at affordable prices, initiate innovative and improved production methods, and integrate regional and global markets.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main objective of the Scheme is to create processing and preservation capacities and modernize existing food processing units to increase the level of processing, value addition, leading to reduction of wastage.\u00a0The mission of the Scheme is to create a processing and preservation capacity to augment farmers incomes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Creation\/ Expansion of Food Processing\/ Preservation Capacities consultants in Hyderabad <\/a><\/span><\/strong>aims to enhance per capital utilization of food grains and generate more employment opportunities and enhance their income. Naturally, the food processing sector has sprung up new challenges\u2014the need to preserve fresh produce, preserve value-added food items, and expand processing. These challenges are addressed by the Scheme. The scheme aims to build and develop processing units and preservation capacities, to help farmers realize the value of their products and keep local food prices low.<\/span><\/p>\n

The activities undertaken by the individual units cover a wide range of post-harvest processes resulting in value addition and\/or enhancing shelf life with specialized facilities required for the preservation of perishables. While the expansion of food processing capacity<\/strong> is necessary to increase the level of processing and reduce wastage, the induction of modern technology is essential for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the different units.<\/span><\/p>\n
